Heavily Meditated

Heavily Meditated: A Free Community Meditation Experience

Guided by Maari Falsetto – Featuring Kirtan Kriya

In our fast-paced world, finding stillness can feel like a luxury. Heavily Meditated is a space where we slow down together — a free community gathering devoted to presence, breath, and the deep nourishment that comes from shared stillness. Each session invites us to return to ourselves while connecting with the collective energy of those around us.

For the last 2 years I have been guiding our community in the Kirtan Kriya, a timeless meditation practice from the Kundalini Yoga tradition. This powerful, multi-sensory meditation uses sound, movement, and focus to harmonize the body, mind, and spirit.

About Kirtan Kriya

Kirtan Kriya combines mantra (chanting), mudra (hand movements), and visualization to create a deeply integrative experience. The mantra Sa Ta Na Ma — meaning “Infinity, Life, Death, Rebirth” — represents the natural cycle of existence. As we chant aloud, whisper, and then move into silent repetition, the vibration of these sounds guides our awareness through the full spectrum of being.

The accompanying finger movements (touching thumb to each fingertip) help balance both hemispheres of the brain and activate energy points connected to clarity and creativity. This combination of sound, movement, and mindfulness makes Kirtan Kriya one of the most studied and beneficial meditations available today.

The Benefits of Kirtan Kriya

Research has shown that regular practice of Kirtan Kriya can:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety, calming the nervous system and lowering cortisol levels

  • Improve memory and cognitive function, supporting mental clarity and focus

  • Enhance mood and emotional balance, through rhythmic breathing and sound vibration

  • Support spiritual connection and intuition, helping you feel more aligned and present

This meditation engages multiple senses — voice, touch, hearing, and visualization — creating a full-bodied experience that grounds the mind while awakening deeper awareness.

The Power of Community Meditation

Meditating in community amplifies the practice. When we come together in stillness, our collective energy supports individual transformation. Shared breath and silence create an atmosphere of connection and compassion that extends far beyond the meditation itself.

Community meditation reminds us that we’re not alone in our inner journeys — that our calm and healing contribute to the well-being of others. Together, we generate coherence, kindness, and presence that ripple outward into our lives and communities.

Join Us

Heavily Meditated is open to all — whether you’re brand new to meditation or have a lifelong practice. Come as you are. Bring your breath, your curiosity, and your willingness to be part of something bigger than yourself.

Let’s sit together. Let’s be Heavily Meditated.

This Sacred Journey to Egypt with Maari is a trip of a lifetime!

Together we will explore the marvels, mythology and mystery of ancient Egypt.  You are invited to open your heart and to really feel the magic of Egypt.

We begin with a series of ZOOM meetings so that our group begins to get to know one another, setting a safe and sacred space for our time ahead.  Maari will also teach mediations, share ceremonies and describe mythology so that you are preparing for the most awesome moments of standing in front of these magnificent holy structures.

ABOUT TONE CIRCLE SEATTLE

Tone Circle Seattle is the region's premier voice-first meditation experience where everyone is invited to explore the transformative power of their own sound through shared harmony. Its group vocal toning sessions are free-form vocalizing designed to support a new age of personal sovereignty, agency, and creativity.

Often referred to as "a sound bath from the inside out," in this relaxed, no-pressure space, there’s nothing to prepare, nothing to perform—just the chance to relax, slow down, and heal our relationship with our voices and normalize our ability to use them anytime, anywhere, and when we need them most. The open invitation to vocalize starts with deep inward listening and a safe, supportive, space where we can feel heard.

Gentle humming or toning on a vowel sound is a wonderful way for anyone of any skill level to deepen their confidence in the sound healing tool they already carry with them everywhere. In a world where we need the harmony of our individual voices to ring out stronger than ever, it’s both an imperative and an enormous pleasure to come together for the vibrational support for our unique journeys.

Volunteer with us!

It’s easy to think that when we serve those who are experiencing homelessness, we are the ones giving help, and in many ways we are. But so often, the truth is that we are the ones receiving the greatest gifts. When we show up with care, attention, and presence, we are reminded of what really matters — connection, humanity, and the power of simply holding space for another person.  As I sat and listened to a young man share some of his family history (he was from Norway) and all of the challenges he had experienced, he shared how he wants to dream of a new life and return to Norway to visit his homeland.  The wisdom, resilience, and generosity of those we serve quietly shifts something in us, teaching gratitude, humility, and the deep joy that comes from authentic giving and receiving.

Inner Alchemy gathers ingredients, prepares, cooks and serves dinner. Often we sit and eat with our neighbors, taking time to listen and learn more. We have space for 4 volunteers each Sunday.

Registration is required. During your week of volunteering you will hear from Maari about menus.

If you cannot volunteer in person but would like to donate food or money, please let me know.

Hi there! I am Katey Peck (she/her) a yoga guide, facilitator, and writer committed to the messy and vital work of collective liberation. I share teachings and practices to support our bodies, lands, and communities to find healing and freedom.

As a white settler, I uplift yoga as Indigenous knowledge and praxis that is in conversation with the Native lands and lifeways we rely upon. I was first drawn to the practice out of curiosity. Dancing with Grief

Grief asks to move with us and through us, to stay in our fIeld of attention and care so it can be felt, processed, and we can be supported by its presence. Through all levels movement such as dance and yoga, meditation, journaling, building a group alter, sound healing, and a sharing circle to express who and what we are grieving, we dance with our grief.

We offer ourselves space to be with the powerful, painful, illuminating, exeperiences of grief. We offer compassion to our grief and the grief of others as we create a community of support and healing. We learn from our grief, expressing it, listening to it, learning its wisdom.

Liziah began the work of grief tending after her Mother, who was her closest companion and magical grandmother and caregiver to her young children died from a hit and run car accident on her daily walk. Liziah experienced her world instantly changed, and filled with the ripping heart ache and break of traumatic loss. She was moved into a grief journey that took her wide and deep. She journeyed to the most painful places and also touched the powerful and love filled places grief can take us. She recieved grief support and started to listen and study with grief teachers. 6 months into her journey grief showed her that it was time for her to hold space for others. With her workl as a mental health therapist and yoga, dance teacher she began to move and breathe and listen to the broken, open hearts of other greiving people. Liziah has learned that grief is wise, and when tended to offers gifts of life, depth and healing that lead us to live with authenticity, purpose, fullness, compassion and of the messy wholeness of our humanity.

Please wear comfortable clothing for movement, bring a journal, an item for the group alter, water bottle, and any other comfort items to stay with you through the experience.

Community Session: Ayurveda Cleans for the SeasonTransition from Kapha in to Pitta

Early Bird Special: $111, after March 31st: $180

May is a special time of year in the realm of Ayurveda. The energy of the earth around us is clearing and blooming. We can utilize this momentum that already exists to boost our health and well being. It's like catching a wave while surfing, it can propel us forward with grace and confidence into the summer.  Or the wave can pass by as it gently rocks us creating a subtle or no movement forward.

May is the month for a liver cleanse because it lifts the heaviness of the spring season dominated by kapha. Where most experience illness, allergies, and water retention are experienced. With a pitta session approaching the body and environment are ready to release this heaviness of kapha and the liver naturally wants to cleanse itself.  The liver is the seed of pitta dosha. It transforms, digests, neutralizes and metabolizes whatever is in the blood stream including nutrients, hormones, emotions, and ama. The kidneys are also closely related to the blood as they filter the plasma portion of the blood and maintain electrolyte balance, fluid balance, and the energy balance through the adrenals. Healthy blood means the work load of the liver is less and the kindness can relax to create stable, sustainable energy into the pitta season.

When blood is impure, ama and kapha are not fully removed problems in the liver occur and symptoms such as tiredness, fat storage, feeling heavy after meal, inability to digest, feeling sick after eating, acne, head aches, clogged arteries, swollen ankles, random itchiness, tightness on the right side of the body, slow healing wounds, depression. When the liver isn’t working right the kidneys over work causing further issues like water retention, urination issues and high blood pressure. Honoring the liver and creating seasonal rituals such as this can help you experience health in this lifetime.

In this session you will learn & experience:

  • The general function of the liver and kidneys in relation to blood.

  • The esoteric component of liver and kidneys.

  • Select Breath work to alleviate Kapha.

  • Select Postures for cleansing the blood.

  • Select Meditation for the liver.

  • Choose from 3 types of liver cleanses that best work for you.

  • How to do this cleanse safely.

  • Every day habits to support the liver year around.

  • Option to join a support group and resources to help you stay on track.

Toning Circle

Sacred Resonance: Vocal Toning for Transformation

When the sunlight hours start to recede, or when the world feels heavy, your voice becomes a guide. It clears what clouds the spirit, releases what weighs you down, and illuminates new space for creative transformation. And when we sing together, we do more than tune in to the present. We raise our vibration, reclaim our peace, and step into the courage of our unshakeable inner knowing.

Welcome to Seattle's premier singing meditation designed for the age of personal empowerment, no musical experience necessary. Just show up and sing!

In a tone circle, everyone is invited to explore the somatic magic of their unique voice, fueling self-healing and intentions through gentle humming and vocal toning supported by crystal alchemy singing bowls. Together, we use our sound to calm the mind and body, connect from the heart, and bring more flow to life’s experiences with vibration from the inside.

What do we do? We breathe. We tone. We get a little weird (in the best way). We share our experiences. Together, we create a space of total acceptance, deep relaxation, and real-time vibrational support for wherever you are on your unique journey. Oh, and did we mention the spontaneous harmonies that feel like soul-level hugs? Cue the goosebumps!

Feeling shy about singing or sharing?Totally normal, and that is why Tone Circle is here: to help everyone release fear, shame, and judgment about using their voice, so their instrument is free and ready and empowered to heal, speak up, connect, and create. Still feeling nervous? We highly recommend bringing an emotional support friend. All are welcome; the more the merrier!

Liziah Richards, is an intuitive mental health therapist, movement facilitator and grief guide. Her passion and purpose are to accompany people on their journey of grief and healing, offering deep care and skilled therapeutic support. Liziah is grateful to facilitate community grief offerings that heal and inspire folks to care for themselves and others in their changed lives, and to align with their purpose and unique authentic expression of self.

Meet your Guides

Maari Falsetto

Maari Falsetto is the founder of Inner Alchemy, a heart-centered sanctuary and studio in West Seattle dedicated to soulful healing, community connection, and embodied presence. With years of experience guiding individuals and groups through sound healing, meditation, ceremony, and nervous system attunement, Maari holds space with deep compassion, clarity, and integrity. She is known for blending intuitive care with grounded technique, helping people reconnect with their inner wisdom, resilience, and sense of belonging. Maari’s work is informed by trauma-sensitive practices, reverence for the lived experience, and a commitment to ethical, conscious healing. In her collaborative offerings, she integrates supportive modalities like breath, mantra, and movement with sound so that individuals feel safe, seen, and deeply held.

Sound Healing

Sound healing is a gentle yet powerful practice that uses vibration, rhythm, and tone to support the body’s natural ability to settle, restore, and rebalance. When we are immersed in sound, the nervous system often shifts out of chronic stress and into a more regulated state, allowing the mind to quiet and the body to soften. Research suggests that calming sound frequencies can support relaxation, improve sleep, reduce anxiety, and enhance emotional regulation by influencing brainwave activity and vagal tone. Beyond the physical benefits, sound creates a spacious inner environment where reflection, emotional release, and a sense of connection can naturally arise—making it a deeply supportive practice for modern life.

Stacey Doyne

Stacey Doyne is a Reiki Master who brings a grounded, intuitive presence to her work. Through gentle, attuned care she supports clients in releasing tension, reconnecting with their bodies, and restoring a sense of ease and balance. Stacey offers private reiki session on Thursdays in the Inner Alchemy Healing Room.

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-off) energy healing practice that supports the body’s natural ability to relax, rebalance, and heal. By working with universal life force energy, Reiki helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and promote a sense of ease and well-being on physical, emotional, and energetic levels.

Chris Northern is an acupuncturist and healer devoted to supporting the body’s natural ability to regulate, rest, and rebalance. Trained in classical acupuncture traditions, Chris brings a calm presence and skilled touch to every session, helping clients ground into their physical bodies and nervous systems with ease. One of the techniques Chris frequently uses is auricular acupuncture — placing ultra-fine needles gently into specific points on the ear. These ear points correspond with nervous system pathways and can help down-regulate stress responses, inviting the body into a state of greater calm and resilience. Combined with Chris’s thoughtful approach and attention to individual needs, this method supports emotional regulation, relaxation, and a deep sense of safety.

About Ear Acupuncture and Nervous System Regulation

In both individual sessions and integrative offerings, Chris utilizes ear acupuncture — a method of placing tiny, painless needles in targeted points on the outer ear that are connected to the autonomic nervous system. These points help cue the body into rest, ease the fight-or-flight response, and support a shift toward the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) state. When used alongside breath awareness, sound, and intentional presence, ear acupuncture can be a powerful way to help the nervous system move out of chronic stress and into greater equilibrium.
