August: Colorful Butterflies
Across cultures, butterflies symbolize transformation, rebirth, and personal growth. August seems like the perfect time of year for these colorful creatures! Butterflies display a miraculous metamorphosis from a crawling caterpillar to a winged, vibrant insects. Many cultures also believe they are spiritual messengers or signs from deceased loved ones. Together we will make our own beautiful butterflies, using markers and watercolors.
September: Plants, herbs & seeds
We are beginning the transition to Fall! This month we will practice drawing any plants, seeds or herbs that you like. You can even make them up! Guidance will be provided.
Plants, herbs, and seeds in autumn often symbolize harvest, transition, and preparation for winter. This season is associated with the gathering of crops and the use of herbs for culinary and medicinal purposes, reflecting a time of abundance and reflection before the colder months.
October: Spiderwebs
We are entering the spooky season, and also a time of spiders and spiderwebs all over Seattle! This month we will combine Zen doodles, watercolors, and spiderwebs.
Spider webs symbolize creativity, interconnectedness, patience, and the delicate balance of life. They also represent the unseen forces shaping our destinies and the intricate connections between people and events.
